1. About us

uabooksonline.com (“UA Books”, “we”, “us”) is the official online bookstore for books by Umera Ahmed. It is operated by UA Books, House 1-B, White House Lane 2, Sundardas Road, Lahore, Pakistan.

By using this website, contacting us to order, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Returns, Order Cancellation, Shipping and Privacy policies, which form part of these Terms.

2. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old, or order with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account login secure and for all orders placed through it.

3. Products

We describe our books, editions, covers and formats as accurately as we can. Cover images are for illustration; covers, paper and printing may differ slightly between print runs. Any reading-level or age guidance for children’s books is a general guide only.

4. How an order is formed

Your order is an offer to buy. You will receive an order confirmation by email or WhatsApp, but this only confirms we have received your order. A contract is formed when we dispatch the books. We may decline or cancel an order for the reasons in our Order Cancellation Policy.

5. Prices and pricing errors

All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless stated otherwise. Any amount shown in another currency is an estimate; your bank’s exchange rate and fees apply. Prices and offers may change at any time without notice, but this won’t affect orders already dispatched.

If a price or product detail is clearly wrong because of a typing or technical error, we are not bound by it. We will tell you and offer to supply at the correct price, or cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. Payment

We accept card payments through our payment partner XPay, direct bank transfer, and cash on delivery within Pakistan. Card details are handled by XPay; we do not see or store your full card number. We may ask you to verify a payment, and we may hold an order until payment is verified.

7. Promotions and discount codes

• Each offer has its own dates and conditions, which apply alongside these Terms.
• Unless stated otherwise, one code per order; codes can’t be combined, exchanged for cash, or applied to past orders.
• We may withdraw or change an offer at any time, and cancel orders that misuse a code or buy promotional stock for resale.
• Books bought under deals and discounts are not signed by Umera Ahmed.

8. Signed copies

Signed copies are available only on selected titles, while stock and the author’s availability last. Each signature is genuine, but its placement and wording may vary and a personal message can’t be guaranteed unless confirmed by us in writing. If a signed copy becomes unavailable after you order, we will offer you an unsigned copy with a refund of any price difference, or a full refund. Signed copies are not returnable except under Section 2 of our Returns policy.

9. Copyright and Umera Ahmed’s work

All books, novels, dramas, scripts, manuscripts, episodes, characters (including Harf Kahani and Alif Nagar), audio, artwork, text, images and design on this website are protected by copyright and belong to Umera Ahmed or her licensors. The names “Umera Ahmed” and “UA Books”, and associated logos, may not be used without our written permission.

You may not, without written permission:

• copy, scan, photograph, record, upload or share any book or website content, in whole or part, including as PDFs, screenshots or audio;
• translate, adapt, dramatise, summarise for publication, or create derivative works from any of it;
• sell, rent or distribute copies, including second-hand copies presented as new or official;
• use any content to train or build AI or machine-learning systems;
• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the website.

Buying a book or e-book gives you ownership of that copy only, not the rights in the work. We will take legal action against piracy and unauthorised copies.

10. Read Online, manuscripts and digital content

Content made available free on Read Online, including drama manuscripts such as “Aap Ki Izzat”, is provided for your personal, non-commercial reading only. We may change or withdraw it at any time. Paid digital content is licensed for personal use on your own devices, and may not be shared, transferred or resold.

11. Reviews and messages you send us

If you post a review, comment or photo, or send us feedback, you confirm it is your own, honest and lawful. You give us a free, non-exclusive right to use, edit and display it on our website and social media, credited to the name you used. We may remove any content at our discretion.

12. Using the website

You agree not to misuse the website: no false orders, fraud, hacking, spreading malware, abusing staff, or interfering with the site’s operation. We may suspend accounts or decline orders where we believe these Terms have been broken. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Pakistani consumer protection law that can’t legally be excluded.

Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as printing or publishing delays, courier or customs delays, natural events, strikes, internet or power outages, or government action.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.

15. Disputes and governing law

If you have a complaint, please contact us first in writing; we respond within 15 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore have jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
