Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information UA Books collects, why, and how we protect it. It applies to uabooksonline.com, our WhatsApp ordering line, and our social media pages.

1. What we collect

• Order details: name, phone and WhatsApp number, email, billing and delivery address, items ordered, and any signed-copy request or note.
• Payment details: the payment method and status. Card details are entered on XPay’s secure system; we never see or store your full card number. For bank transfers, we keep the payment receipt you send us.
• Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, email, contact forms or social media.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
• Website usage: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and similar data, collected through cookies and tracking tools (Section 4).

2. How we use it

• To process, confirm, ship and track your orders, and handle returns and refunds.
• To verify payments and COD orders, and prevent fraud and misuse.
• To reply to your messages and complaints.
• To send offers and new-release news, only if you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

Only as needed to run the store:

• Couriers (our courier partners), who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
• XPay, our card payment processor.
• Service providers that host our website and send our emails (Hostinger, WP Mail SMTP), and the tools we use to manage orders.
• Advertising and analytics partners (Meta/Facebook and Instagram, Google, TikTok), through the tools described in Section 4.
• Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in case of fraud or a dispute.

Some of these providers store data outside Pakistan.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel, Google tags and the TikTok Pixel, to keep your cart working, understand how the site is used, and show you relevant ads on those platforms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site, such as the cart, may not work without them.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes, and other data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Marketing data is deleted when you opt out.

6. Security

We use secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted staff access, and reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, so please do not send card numbers or passwords to us by WhatsApp, email or social media. UA Books will never ask you for them.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing. Contact us using the details below. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.

8. Children

Our books include titles for children, but orders must be placed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
